Leaks are a major surgical concern, especially in the most challenging cases. The ECHELON Circular Powered Stapler, backed by robust clinical data, reduced leaks without compromising healing.1 It combines two stapling innovations – 3D Stapling and Gripping Surface Technologies - on a consistent and reliable powered platform.
Designed with offset closure of the staple legs, 3D Stapling Technology evenly distributed compression throughout the anastomosis5 and reduced potential leak paths compared to the Medtronic EEA™ Stapler.5 Tissue compression can be controlled by varying the height of the closed staple.
Gripping Surface Technology delivers precise compression only where it is needed6 to prepare the tissue for staple formation. It also provided gentler handling, with a 33% reduction in compressive forces on tissue compared to the Medtronic DST Series™ Stapler.6
Designed to standardize performance across users, powered push button firing delivered 37% less movement at the distal tip for increased stability7 compared to Medtronic’s manual DST Series™ EEA™ Stapler. The ECHELON CIRCULAR Powered Stapler also reduced force to fire by 97% compared to the Medtronic EEA™ Circular Stapler with Tri-Staple™ Technology.8
